The Emporium of Design!
Paul and Sugarbear opened the Emporium of Design in January of 1978, and almost from the beginning, the Emporium of Design has been Denver's most prolific tattooing and piercing studios.
The Emporium of Design has been featured in dozens of magazines and newspapers. We’ve been on local and national news programs. Wolfman Frank was on Jenny Jones and Dusty Ullerich even had his very own TV special on the Travel Channel. And who can forget “Tattoo Tuesdays” on the Lewis and Floorwax radio show?
In 1989 we expanded the Emporium of Design to include “Leather and Lace“. A revolutionary idea for it’s time. From “From the Mild to the Wild” was the new store motto. We had the biggest selection of piercing jewelry in the state, as well as adult toys, clothing and just about everything you can imagine that was on “the wild side”.
In 1990 we opened “Sturgis Tattoo Company” and “The Original World Famous Road Kill Café” in Sturgis, South Dakota. A few years later we added “Main Street Tattoo” to our Sturgis roster.

is a full service tattooing and piercing studio. The Emporium of Design as been newly remodeled to offer you a state-of-the-art experience in tattooing and piercing procedures and hygiene. You can be assured that you are getting your new tattoo in a clean, sterile and healthy environment.
Our newly designed studio has a generous waiting room with comfordable couches, magazine and of course hundreds of tattoo designs to help you choose the tattoo that you've always wanted. we have a seperate tattooing area as well as private tattoo and piercing rooms. Plus all tattoo and piercing areas are kept to the highest standards of hygiene.
You’re welcome to walk in. Or if you don’t want to take a chance on missing your favorite tattoo or piercing artist, you can always make an appointment. And while your friends are waiting, they can chill out in the waiting room. We have plenty of magazines to read or you can bring a laptop and hook up to our internet connection and listen to music or watch a movie.Tthey can also go shopping, have a bite to eat or a cool drink at any of the bars and restaraunts nearby.
